A NEW NAME. GENERATIONS OF CRAFT BEHIND IT.

Woodcraft is a new studio in Bhopal, built on a family trade in timber that goes back generations.

Woodcraft is new. The hands behind it are not. Our family has made furniture in Bhopal for generations, each of us learning the trade at the bench from the ones who came before.

That inheritance is the foundation: an eye for good timber, respect for joinery that lasts, and karigars who have spent their lives at the craft. Teak, sheesham and mango from central India are still chosen and seasoned the way we were taught.

The studio is how we carry it forward: designing whole rooms as well as single pieces, and making, finishing and installing everything ourselves, so what is promised on paper is what arrives in the room.

  1. THENGenerations at the benchA family trade in furniture and joinery, made by hand for homes across Bhopal.
  2. NOWA new studioThe same craft, carried into collections, interiors and complete spaces.
